The CEO of Metinvest group Yuriy Ryzhenkov visited the Kametstalʹ metallurgical plant with a business visit.

Despite the fact that the Dnipropetrovsk region, like many other regions of Ukraine, is under constant air attacks, Kametstalʹ is trying to work stably and support the economy of our state. After the war, Ukraine will need high-quality metal to rebuild its destroyed infrastructure. It should also be noted that the company does not stop its production processes, so that we have something to build bridges, roads, homes out of!

Currently, the enterprise has two blast furnaces № 1M and № 9, the third one (BF № 12) is undergoing scheduled repairs. Sintering, converter, rolling shops work with maximum productivity. The coke plant steadily produces goods. Approximately ten thousand employees are involved in sustaining the safe work chain operation.

- In March, Kametstalʹ was the only metal producer in the country. In April, we managed to withdraw from hot canning and resume production on Zaporizhstal. Even in the times of peace metallurgy was one of the key industries in Ukraine, and during the war it became a source of replenishment of the budget on all levels, which is extremely important for our economy. Therefore, we will continue to implement investment projects in enterprises, as the restoration of our country lies ahead. We will need to rebuild Ukraine's infrastructure - bridges, roads, homes. Metal is necessary for all of this. And it is simply impossible to overestimate the role of Kametstalʹ in this, - said Yuriy Ryzhenkov.

According to the head of the plant Dmytro Lyppa, due to the war there were certain drawbacks with logistics - the supply of raw materials and shipment of finished goods. However, currently the situation is under control.

- This situation is typical for most enterprises. I communicate with my colleagues, partners, and I notice, that they are also stabilizing their work. The economy, despite everything, works. I believe that we will be able to survive, rebuild and continue to work for the benefit of our Ukraine, - shared his opinion Dmytro Lyppa.

Metinvest CEO Yuri Ryzhenkov visited the plant's main shops. Among the inspected sites - a new weight dosing complex in the sinter shop; blast furnace № 12, which has just been overhauled; coke battery № 5, where the second phase of rearrangements was completed last year and; filling crane of the converter shop. All these are investment projects, which, taking the grim situation into account, are implemented for a more productive operation of Kametstalʹ.

During his visit, the CEO met with the Kametstalʹ staff. The situation in the country, the assistance to the army, the humanitarian mission, the employment of colleagues from Mariupol, the economic front and the prospects of Metinvest were discussed in the format of an open dialogue.
