Digital Transformation: Metinvest achieves blast-furnace efficiency with Azure Machine Learning

In late 2018, Metinvest launched a large-scale program aimed at improving the efficiency of its assets. One major aspect of the program was to improve the fuel consumption of the blast furnaces. To achieve this goal, Metinvest supported by Metinvest Digital began an artificial intelligence pilot project in one of its blast furnaces — using Сloud technologies, Big Data, Artificial intelligence and Azure Machine Learning. The project aims to stabilize the blast furnace process and reduce the variability of the silicon content in cast iron.
